When you use Avants AI, we collect the following information:

Account information: Your name, email address, role (candidate or employer), and company name if applicable.
Resume data: Text extracted from uploaded resumes or LinkedIn profile content you paste into the platform.
Interview recordings: Audio recordings of AI voice interviews, along with transcripts generated from those recordings.
Application data: Jobs you've applied to, AI match scores, work authorization attestations, and application status.
Usage data: Pages visited, actions taken, and device/browser information collected automatically via Google Analytics.

2. How We Use Your Data

To operate the platform and provide AI matching, scoring, and interview services.
To send transactional emails (application updates, hire notifications, invoices).
To process payments via Stripe when a placement fee is due.
To improve our AI models and platform features using anonymized, aggregated data.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

OpenAI: Resume text and interview transcripts are sent to OpenAI's API for AI scoring and analysis. OpenAI's data use policies apply.
Google Cloud: Text-to-speech and speech-to-text services are powered by Google Cloud APIs.
Stripe: Placement fee payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card information.
Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how users navigate the platform. You can opt out via browser extensions.

4. Who Can See Your Data

Candidates: Your resume, match score, and interview transcript are visible only to the specific employer you applied to. Other employers cannot see your applications or recordings.
Employers: Your company information and job postings are publicly visible to candidates browsing the platform.
Avants staff: We may access account data to provide support or investigate violations of our Terms of Service.

5. Data Retention

Your account and application data is retained as long as your account is active.
Interview audio files are stored for up to 12 months after the application closes.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption, secure credential hashing, and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
